Stars are basically just balls of atoms in outer space. Astronomers, who study these stars, unfortunately can't take samples of a star to study its chemical makeup. Luckily, when atoms are excited, they emit a wavelength of light specific to the element, and astronomers use this to identify what a star is made of. This Star Log contains a directory of the chemical make-up of observable solar bodies in our universe.
